The launch of the initiative "Empowering students in the health care sector to adapt to climate changes" within the activities of the first international conference at Mansoura University. In light of Mansoura University's adoption of sustainable development strategies and the vision of the Egyptian state, and its interest in preparing scientific plans, programs and conferences to ensure the achievement of a comprehensive and sustainable role for the university in community service and environmental development, the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University hosted the activities of the first international and fourth national conference for students entitled: "Empowering students in the care sector Health Ministry to Adapt to Climate Change - Challenges and Possibilities”. The conference held in Tuesday, February 14, 2023, in the Conference Hall of the General Administration of the University, with the participation of 15 different Egyptian and Arab universities. This conference came under the partonage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the leadership of Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater- President of Mansoura University, Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi- Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. / Amina El-Nemer- Dean of the Faculty, supervised by Prof. Abeer Zakaria - Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Wadad Saber- Coordinator of Student Activities, in the presence of Prof. Mosaad Mandour- Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Postgraduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Nahed Kandil - Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Wafaa Fathy- Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental Affairs, and a number of faculty members and students from various Egyptian Arab universities. The conference aims to exchange visions and practical ideas on ways to empower students in the health care sector in light of the contemporary climatic and environmental changes. Several sub-goals emerge from this goal represented in qualifying students with the tools and skills to adapt to climate changes, and preparing scientifically qualified cadres in the health team to deal with climate crises. Spreading health and environmental awareness among university students, as well as standing on the local and international community's readiness to adapt to climate changes, and assessing international challenges and risks towards these changes from the students' point of view. The conference dealt with a number of themes, including the importance of digital transformation and hybrid learning in light of climate changes, nutrition and lifestyles to adapt to climate changes, tools and strategies for adapting to climate changes, managing climate crises, environmental risks resulting from climate changes, pressures and social support related to climate changes.

Faculty of Nursing, in co-operation with the University’s Science Club, organized an initiative to connect science, technology and innovation on 10/11/2021 at the conference hall of the faculty. It was presented by Dr. Sarah Al-Metwally- supervisor of the University’s Science Club and the club team.

With the start of the second dose of Covid 19 Vaccine on Saturday, September 25, 2021, there are increasing in the number of students attendance to have the vaccine at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University. Corona virus vaccine is provided by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education in the interest of the safety of our students.
Students are attending according to the date announced on the first card taken at the first dose, which started on Saturday, September 5, 2021.

On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, the annual conference for graduate studies was held under the partonage of Prof. Abeer Zakaria - Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Vice President of the Conference, and supervised by Prof. Hanas Hussein- Conference Coordinator, and Dr. Nagwa Ibrahim – General secretary of the Conference. The organization done by Narsawy’s team at the faculty and was coordinated by Ahmed Waheed- the head of the team. The agenda was presented by Dr. Iman Yasser - Assistant Lecturer Critical Care Nursing Department.
The activities of the first virtual conference were held due to what the world is going through from the Corona pandemic, and precautionary measures were taken and the distance was maintained for the participants with a scientific talk or poster who presented in the Faculty conference hall. Under the supervision of the Faculty of Information Technology manager Assist. Prof. Eman Ahmad Fadel.
It is worth mentioning that, more than 400 participants participated in the conference, whether they attended online or participated in a poster or a scientific talk or a research paper from various Egyptian and Arab universities.
One of the most important scientific topics presented in the conference was how to create an electronic file for each student, on which the student carries everything related to him, starting from joining the faculty until he graduates. This topic was attended by Prof. Hala Jabr - Head of the Department of Nursing Administration. In addition, Prof. Hanaa Hussein spoke about the most common mistakes during the presentation of scientific theses and how to avoid them. Furthermore, the fruitful presentation of Prof. Nahid Kandil, Head of Critical Care Nursing Department and Chairman of the Ethics and Scientific Research Committee, on how to make a scientific protocol.
Dr. Najwa El-Fishawy- coordinator of the Postgraduate Studies page, talked about scientific research and how to research through the web of science base, which is provided by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and how the base enables the researcher to know the impact factor of the scientific journal before publishing in it and how to arrange and write references in Mandali.
Dr. Eman Ahmed Fadel gave a lecture on global databases and how to participate in them from the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, Research Gate and Google Scholar, and how to download research and scientific theses from different database sources.
Moreover, Dr. Sarah Ali, a lecturer for the health of the elderly from the Faculty of Nursing, Alexandria University, participated in e-learning strategies. Dr. Ibtisam Hashem, a doctoral student at Mansoura University, participated in a lecture on cupping and the modern perspective of Western medicine and how to use it to treat various health symptoms.
Among the online posts is a participation from Saudi Arabia from Dr. Samah Abdullah Mahmoud Suleiman - an international consultant for breastfeeding medicine, head of nursing and pediatric departments and director of the child-friendly hospital program at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital. Thus, all the topics of the conference were covered, from integrating modern technologies into interactive education to improve the quality of teaching and learning, building curricula on evidence-based evidence in nursing practices, as well as covering the challenges facing postgraduate students in education and scientific research.
Among the most important recommendations of the conference: activating the electronic file of the graduate student, weighing the skills of graduate students with the skills of research projects, encouraging faculty members to publish in journals with a high impact factor to raise the researcher’s impact factor and raising the classification of Egyptian universities. And also supporting the development of students’ skills in education. In addition, encouraging researchers to do research using evidence and evidence to prove the role of cupping in treating many disease symptoms.
