The Seventh International Conference of the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University discusses scientific research tracks in response to the Corona pandemic
The Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University organized a video conference today, Wednesday, February 24, 2021. The Seventh International Conference "The Second Virtual"
Titled: "Paths of Scientific Research for COVID-19 Pandemic"
Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Ashraf Hafez, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Amina Mohamed Rashad, President of the Conference and Dean of the Faculty Nursing, Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Vice President of the Conference and Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Hala Jabr, Conference Rapporteur, Prof. Awatef Qassem, Conference Secretary.
The conference aims to communicate and participate from those interested in scientific research in the field of nursing, education and scientific research to exchange experiences and present scientific ideas and methods of hybrid learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This was in cooperation with many universities in the Arab world, including: College of Nursing, King Khalid University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Abha) - College of Nursing, Maysan University in Iraq - College of Health and Applied Sciences, Taibah University. The conference was opened by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, by welcoming the Arab brothers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and wished everyone a fruitful and successful conference, and indicated that the college was distinguished in the field of international scientific research in journals with strong impact factor. He also praised the successful selection of the conference title, which is in line with contemporary concerns and the Corona pandemic.
Dr. Ashraf Hafez, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, welcomed the conference participants from Arab countries and Egyptian universities, and praised the achievements of the College of Nursing in the field of scientific research and publishing.
Prof. Dr. Amina Muhammad Rashad Al-Nimr, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in education and scientific research between Taibah University and Mansoura University, and praised the effort made to make the international conference a success in cooperation with Saudi universities and Maysan University in Iraq.
She also pointed to the importance of mutual cooperation between Mansoura University, the College of Nursing, King Khalid University, Abha, and the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Taibah University, and pointed to the importance of preparing courses to develop the capabilities of researchers in the areas of effective presentation for theses and scientific research.
Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, expressed her happiness with the participants from the collaborating colleges in the conference and the multiple participations from other universities at the local and international levels, and stressed the importance of developing response plans to the Corona pandemic to serve the health and educational field and preserve human safety in society.
Prof. Dr. Rashid Rahim, Dean of the College of Nursing, University of Maysan, Iraq, expressed his gratitude for participating in the seventh international conference of the college and announced his welcome to the international conference next April. And Prof. Noura Moussa Al-Raisi, Dean of the College of Health and Applied Sciences, Taibah University, clarified the importance of applying all that is new in scientific and academic research on the ground in order to generalize the benefit to all beneficiaries of health services.
Prof. Aida Sanad, Dean of the College of Nursing, King Khalid University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Abha), spoke about the importance of studying psychological stress and how to adapt to it among new graduates of nursing colleges in light of the Corona pandemic, as well as the importance of cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research.
The conference discussed many important topics, including:
• Scientific research tracks in response to the COVID-19 pandemic
• Recent research on various health topics
• Guides, evidence, experiences and innovations in nursing
• Hybrid education during the COVID-19 pandemic
• Safety and quality in health facilities
Many people interested in scientific research and health care participated in the conference, bringing the number of participants to more than 500 participants, with scientific and research papers and presentations.
The conference recommended:
1. Raising awareness among the participants of the importance and how to deal with COVID-19
2. The exchange of knowledge and different experiences through the participation of those interested in scientific research in the various internal and external scientific tracks.
3. Opening new channels of communication and scientific exchange with nursing colleges in different Arab countries.
