Participation of Gerontological Nursing Department in a ceremony to welcome the German Board for International Accreditation to the faculty was held on Tuesday, February 26, 2024, Numerous models, brochures, and posters related to student activities were presented. It was organized by all clinical staff members.
The German Board for International Accreditation recommended the unconditional accreditation for the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, during the conclusion of the German Board for International Accreditation delegation visit, which lasted two days.
Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater- President of Mansoura University, received a delegation from the German International Accreditation Authority, headed by Mr. George Richard, President of the Authority, and 6 members of the Authority.
In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi- Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim-Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Tariq Ghaloush- Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Amina El-Nemer- Dean of the Faculty, Vice Deans of the Faculty, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, and Coordinator of the International Unit in the Faculty. Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater stressed the university’s efforts and keenness to ensure that its colleges obtain international accreditation. Within the framework of the university's strategic plan to enable its graduates to compete in the international labor market outside Egypt, and to increase their job opportunities, through accredited educational programs.
He explained that the Faculties of the medical sector at the university; It provides medical services that are considered the largest and most modern in Egypt Pointing to the faculties' distinguished role in supporting health care by preparing qualified and trained graduates; To work inside and outside Egypt.
For its part, the German delegation praised the prestigious Mansoura University, its distinction in various international classifications, and the university’s interest and support in the nursing sector, which qualified it for international accreditation. It praised the level of the Faculty of Nursing, which is comparable to the levels of nursing colleges in Europe.The delegation also praised the faculty scientific and academic indicators, scientific research and publishing, and community services, in addition to the development initiatives in light of the faculties' strategic plan, which reflects the state’s vision 2030 and supports the role of women in proper care. It praised the development of the curriculum, which keeps pace with international curricula, in addition to the equipment. Advanced skills laboratories and training methods that are in line with international accreditation standards, fruitful cooperation between hospitals and the faculty, continuing education within hospitals, and the faculty's constant follow-up of its graduates. The presence of graduates in the university’s medical system and their excellence in providing medical services was also praised due to their scientific and training qualifications, which indicates the extent of their readiness to work immediately after their graduation. For her part, Professor Dr. Amina El-Nemer extended thanks and appreciation to all faculty members, staff and students at the faculty for their joint cooperation and teamwork, and congratulated the Faculty of Nursing and Mansoura University on this international achievement, which is one of the points of distinction of the prestigious Mansoura University.
It is worth noting that the delegation’s field visit included a number of inspection tours within the university campus, university hospitals, and the College of Nursing, and inspected the auditoriums, laboratories, and training halls therein, and meetings with the college administration, professors, students, and graduates. The delegation also toured the centers and service units for students, which included: A tour of the Electronic Testing Center at the Faculty of Law, the Olympic Village to inspect sports activities venues, the Professional Development Center, and Intilaq Company for Communications and Information Technology.

The symposium dealt with an introduction to breathing exercises for the elderly, physiological changes for the elderly, the definition of breathing exercises, their rules, and reasons for their use, as well as contraindications for their use, types of exercises, and how to perform them. The students measured blood glucose, pulse, and blood pressure for the elderly. Health brochures were distributed about Asthma, as well as samples of healthy meals provided by Group 1.

The Elderly Nursing Department Council for the month of December was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Soad Hassan Abdel Hamid and in the presence of the faculty members on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Elderly Nursing Department.
Today, Monday 30/10/2023, Prof. Dr. El-Sawy El-Sawy Ahmed, Coordinator of Egyptian-Chinese Relations and Founder of the Egyptian-Chinese Cultural Salon in Cairo, was received in the office of Prof. Dr. Amina El-Nimr, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nahed Qandil, Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Soad Hassan, Head of the gerontological nursing department, and Prof. Dr. Heba Noshy, Coordinator of the Egyptian-Chinese Agreement for Cultural and Educational Cooperation.
Then, a workshop was held in the conference hall of the College of Nursing under the title “Chinese Scholarships for Faculty Members, Postgraduate Students, and Graduates” at 11 a.m.
Prof. Dr. Al-Sawy spoke and confirmed the possibility of expanding cooperation between the Chinese University and Mansoura University in the field of education and cultural exchange through partnership in courses and mutual grants between the two universities. There was excellent interaction on the part of students and graduates to learn more about the scholarships, and a number of students were registered for the first scholarship offered by the Chinese side.
