Mission of the Center

The center's mission is to develop the skills and abilities of the faculty members and their scientific and practical assistants in the faculty and improve their teaching, research and community performance, in addition to developing the performance of the faculty staff at different levels of career and specialization and self-development in order to obtain the highest level of education and skill for the student and graduate in the faculty.

Vision of the Center

The nursing education development center of Mansoura University, Faculty of Nursing will be one of the Excellency nursing education centers on the regional and local level.

The overall objective of the center

Strengthening and developing the capabilities of the faculty members and their scientific and practical assistants, with a view to developing and updating the curriculum

Objectives of the Center

1. Organize and work (periodic workshops, periodic scientific seminars) for all departments of the faculty based on their practical and scientific needs.
2. Organizing and conducting (periodic workshops, periodic scientific seminars) for the practical training supervisors for the excellence students in line with the labor market and their needs.
3. Develop scientific and practical teaching methods.
4. Training new cadres of faculty members and their assistants before dealing with the student on the correct bases of teaching and assessment methods for the student.
5. Updating student assessment methods periodically.
6. Utilize faculty members who have (TOT) to train the rest of the untrained faculty.
7. Stand on the feedback from the student in relation to the educational process (the objectives of the curriculum and theoretical, methods of teaching and assessment of the student etc. ------) in all departments.
8. Provide advisory services related to the educational process at the level of individuals and departments as needed.
9. Create a cooperative system between the faculty of Nursing, decision-makers and service beneficiaries in the places of practical training to ensure the continuation of nursing education.

The administrative structure of the center

• Dean of the Faculty as General Supervisor of the Center.
• Director of the Center to be representative of the faculty at the Center for Education Development at the University.
• Director of the quality unit in the faculty.

Executive Structure

1. The three Faculty Vice Deans(Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Vice Dean for Community Affairs and Environmental Services).
2. Representatives of the scientific departments where each department represents two faculty members or their assistants to be sixteen.
3. Four representatives of administrators and employees for their various departments in the faculty.
4. Two to work as the center's secretary.
5. Two computer technician.
6. Maid.

Tasks of the Director of the Center

1. Linking the center and the various departments of the faculty.
2. Linking the Center with the corresponding sections regionally and internationally.
3. Setting a semi-annual plan for the Center's internal and external works.
4. Presentation and evaluation of the Center's semi-annual activities.
5. Working to find experts in the various disciplines in the faculty and outside to provide the maximum benefit.
6. Provide suggestions and recommendations at the end of each semester to identify weaknesses in the educational process.

The assessment of the center

The Center's work is evaluated twice a year according to the bi-annual plan set in September and January to strengthen the weaknesses and introduce all that is new for the educational process.
