The sector supervises the bachelor's stage of the scientific departments in order to provide distinguished graduates in terms of cognitive, skills and vocational rehabilitation in the fields of providing high quality nursing care to meet the needs and requirements of the labor market. The Faculty also contributes to provide continuous learning opportunities for its graduates and others to work locally through graduate programs, and keep up with everything new.

I am delighted to offer my children my sincere congratulations and best wishes for a new academic year, full of academic and student activities aimed at investing the energies of young people and developing their talents in order to prepare a generation capable of contributing to the advancement of development. Student activities aim to develop positive behavior among young people and is considered an element of total quality that contributes to building the personality of the student in all aspects, therefore the call for active participation in various student activities.
As one of the institutions of Mansoura University, the faculty seeks to achieve a distinguished role in all fields by providing the best methods of education and training based on its educational potential as well as on its human resources represented by distinguished faculty members in all disciplines. The system of the study

The system of the study in the faculty

The system of study in the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University is based on the self-directed learning credit system and the study system to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing science as follows:

1. The duration of the study consists of five levels of study divided as follows:

 The first to the fourth levels consist of two academic semesters for each level. The duration of the semester is fifteen weeks.
 The fifth level consists of three semesters applied for the duration of the semester 16 weeks over a calendar year.

2- Students who fail or excel may register in the summer semester, which is an intensive semester for 8 weeks. The student must register with the approval of the relevant department councils with a maximum of 7 credit hours. Provided that the cumulative average of the superior student is not less than 3 to be able to register in the summer semester.

The credit hour is a unit of measurement to determine the weight of each course per semester, which is equivalent:

Credit hour = 50 minutes time = theoretical hour = 2 hours applied laboratory = 3 clinical applied hours or 4 hours applied field. And that weekly throughout the semester.

3-The beginning of the semesters shall be determined in accordance with the instructions of the University. The summer semester shall commence in mid-July. Classes for the fifth level applied in the beginning of September.

4 - The student performs the fifth level of study during the compulsory year of application (year of internship) in hospitals and health institutions affiliated to the university or any other health institution under the planning and direct supervision of the Faculty of Nursing - Mansoura University or any other university before the authorization to practice the profession.

5. The language of study in the faculty is English except for the general principles of law, human rights, fitness and motor balance.

Registration of students

Rules of Admission to the Faculty of Nursing

The Faculty accepts the following certificates:

 The student should have a high school diploma in the year of submission to join the faculty- the scientific department provided that they study the following materials (physics - chemistry - biology)
 The Faculty accepts the Diploma of the Technical Institute (Nursing-Health Division of Nursing only) and they are enrolled in the second year directly
 The Faculty accepts the nursing diploma with a minimum of 75% and pass the equation exam in the following subjects (English language - Arabic language - Chemistry - Physics) high school, and the exam is held in September each year at the Faculty of Nursing Cairo

Faculty Admission Tests

1. Oral Ability Tests (Interview)
2. Editorial ability test
3. Written test of English
4. Medical examination of the faculty

Requires the following specifications:

- The absence of any deficiency in neuromuscular balance
- The safety of the heart and chest and free from chronic diseases and birth defects
- Safety of sight, hearing and pronunciation
- Free from neurological and psychological diseases


The mechanism of distributing awards to outstanding students

1.At the end of the academic year and after the announcement of the students results,the heads of the monitoring committees is addressed to inform theVice Dean for Education and Student Affairs about the names of the outstanding students and the total grades obtained.

2.The Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs shall form committees for the heads of the concerned departments, the heads of the monitoring committees and the Secretary of the Students' Union to examine the conditions of the distribution of the awards

3.The committee's decision shall be submitted to the Committee of Education and Student Affairs and approved by the College Council.

4.Students who have won awards of excellence will be notified and receive prizes and certificates of appreciation at the graduation ceremony of the college.

Examining complaints and suggestions of students

1.A number of complaints and suggestions boxes have been created for students to present and discuss complaints from students. A website has been created to receive any suggestions or complaints for students,This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and to present their suggestions and opinions on the progress of the educational process.

2.These funds are opened every two weeks. Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and examined by the committee formed for that.

4. Complaints received by team leaders are discussed with the head of the department and be presented to the board of the department if necessary,.

5.Some of these complaints are presented at the College Board meeting if necessary to develop the proposed solutions and take the necessary action to resolve these complaint
