the activities of the fifth and second virtual international conference of the Department of Woman’s Health and midwifery Nursing was began in cooperation with the British Medical Association and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mansoura University was held On Sunday, October 8, 2023,Under the title
Women’s Empowerment and Equality as a cornerstone for Women’s Health
Under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University and under the supervision of Prof. Amina El-Nemr - Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University (Chairman of the Conference), Prof. Nahed Kandil - Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies (Vice President of the Conference), Prof. Hanan Al-Sayed Muhammad - Head of the Department of Woman’s Health and midwifery Nursing (Conference Coordinator), Prof. Eman Ahmed Fadel (Conference Secretary).
The conference was honored by the attendance of Professor Ahmed Mostafa -Obstetrician at worester Hospital inEngland , Professor Rafiq Barakat - Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Professor Nahed Fikry Hassan - Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Damietta University, and Professor Nadia Abdel Hamid - Professor of Obstetric Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Ain Shams University and a breastfeeding consultant, and Professor Souad Hassan - Head of the Elderly Nursing Department- Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University. They enriched the conference with their enjoyable practical discussions on everything related to empowering women and supporting their physical and mental health
The conference activities began with an honoring session for the recent faculty members who obtained the degree of assistant professor, the degree of instructor, and the degree of assistant lecture. And the first student in the department for the master’s degree (Dr. Abrar Raafat) and the doctorate degree (Dr. Iman Nabil). And the top bachelor’s students (Israa Ali Ahmed Salama, Hadir Muhammad Abu Al-Futouh, Heba Ahmed Muhammad Attia, and Israa Abdo Mujahid).
The scientific sessions included diverse and fruitful discussions and posters from faculty members and graduate students from various Egyptian universities (Mansoura, Kafr El-Sheikh, Minya, Port Said, Ain Shams).
The conference was presented by a graduate of the Faculty (Mr. Muhammad Ashraf) and the Holy Qur’an was recited by (student/Jamal Talaat).
