The Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, established an educational symposium entitled: Because your health matters to us. The aim is to provide a conscious generation for awareness, collaborating with the National Council for Women in Dakahlia and honoring a group of council members under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Amina Shalabi, graduate of the National Council for Women in Dakahlia and former Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.

Prof. Dr. Amina Al-Nimr - Professor of Woman’s Health and Midwifery Nursing, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Member of the National Council for Women in Dakahlia provide a fruitful lecture to raise the awareness about the risk of breast cancer, how to prevent, diagnose and treat it. Additionally, it included the elements of health education that should be conducted by every girl, such as breast self-examination on a monthly basis, having a physical examination with a doctor. Furthermore, it involved the necessary radiology including MAMOGRAM especially for the most vulnerable ladies.

The symposium had a practical aspect, as attendees were trained to practice clinical breast examination using the college’s educational module.
