Participation of the Critical Care and Emergency Nursing Department in the open meeting organized by the president of Mansoura University for the faculty assistant staff members about discuss challenges and developing the educational process
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Tarek Ghalosh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, an open meeting was held on Monday, September 16, 2024, with the university president and the assistant staff in the conference hall of the Faculty of Commerce. The meeting aimed to discuss the fundamental challenges facing the supporting staff, including demonstrator and assistant lecturer, in performing their duties, and to listen to their opinions on developing the educational and research processes. Also, Professor Sherif Khater emphasized the university's significant interest in its human resources, considering the members of the teaching assistants as essential partners in building the future.
He pointed out that the university is working hard to provide a motivating work environment and to offer the necessary support to enhance their skills and prepare them to be the leaders of the future.
Dr. Tarek Ghalosh explained that the university is making significant efforts to develop the infrastructure for scientific research by creating a comprehensive electronic platform for graduate studies, similar to global platforms, where lectures are uploaded interactively at a high level to facilitate researchers in the graduate studies sector. Additionally, there is an electronic system for managing files related to master's and doctoral theses, provision of necessary funding for researchers, publication incentives offered to researchers publishing in high-impact international journals, and making information available about international scholarship granting bodies in European universities and international organizations, as well as promoting this information within the university and on social media.
He also clarified that the university is in the process of establishing a graduate school that will include interdisciplinary programs in partnership with major global universities across various disciplines, as well as the university's plan to create a research city that will house most of the research excellence centers and accredited research laboratories at the university.
A open dialogue was held to listen to some of the issues they are facing, and the university president promised to resolve them soon.
