A delegation from the German Commission for International Accreditation at Mansoura University to accredit the Faculty of Nursing

As part of the efforts of the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University towards international accreditation, under the patronage of Professor Sherif Youssef Khater-President of Mansoura University, a delegation of the German International Accreditation Authority was received, headed by Mr. George Richard- President of the Authority, and a number of members of the Authority; As part of their field visit to Mansoura University; To advance the Faculty of Nursing to be internationally accredited by the German Authority.

In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi- Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Prof. Tariq Ghaloush-Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amina El-Nemer-Dean of the Faculty, Vice Deans of the Faculty, and Director of the Quality Assurance Unit. Accreditation and coordinator of the International unit at the Faculty.

Prof. Muhammad Attia Al-Bayoumi welcomed the Authority’s delegation at the beginning of their visit to the university, and reviewed the history of the establishment of the university and that it is an ancient university, stressing the university’s leadership and excellence. In various scientific, medical, and research fields, it is the first accredited government university, and is considered the citadel of medicine in Egypt, in addition to the international partnership with various international universities. To develop the educational programs it offers and keep pace with scientific research activities in various colleges with recent developments.

He pointed out the university's efforts and keenness to ensure that its faculties obtain international accreditation. To enable its graduates to compete in the international labor market outside Egypt, and to increase their job opportunities, through accredited educational programs.

He also reviewed the university’s excellence and its winning of many awards at the local and international levels. He also reviewed the excellence of scientific research and international publishing and the university’s progress and distinction in international classifications, especially in the medical sector.

He also stressed the university’s distinction as it is a destination for international students, with 12,000 international students studying here, representing 54 nationalities from various countries of the world.

He explained that the Faculties of the medical sector at the university; It provides health services that are considered the largest and most modern in Egypt, and the university includes (10) medical centers and a hospital, which represents a distinguished opportunity. To train nursing students and improve their skills; During the franchise year.

Prof. Amina El-Nemer-Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, explained that the Faculty of Nursing applied for accreditation of the Bachelor of Nursing program from the German Authority, and the field visit includes a number of inspection tours within the university campus, university hospitals, and the Faculty of Nursing, inspecting the auditoriums, laboratories, and training halls therein, and meetings. With the Faculty administration, professors, and students, noting the Faculty role in supporting nursing work; By preparing qualified and trained graduates; To work inside and outside Egypt.

For its part, the German delegation praised the ancient Mansoura University and its distinction in various international classifications.

Professor Amina El-Nemer reviewed the most prominent activities of the Faculty of Nursing during the past period, during which she presented: the establishment of the faculty, its establishment, some scientific and academic indicators for the faculty, scientific research and publishing, and community services, in addition to development initiatives in light of the faculty's strategic plan.
