Prof. Ashraf Abdel Baset, President of Mansoura University, received on Tuesday the members of the external review visit committee to renew the accreditation of the Faculty of Nursing from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.

The committee was chaired by Prof. Hala Refaat El-Qolly - Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar University, and the membership of Prof. Sabah Saad Sharkawy - Professor at the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University – Prof. Sanaa Abdel Azim Ghandour - Professor at the Faculty of Nursing at Port Said University and Prof. Zakia Toma Tohma - Professor, Faculty of Nursing, Alexandria University, Prof. Naglaa Abdel Mawgoud Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Nursing, Menoufia University (Observer).

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ashraf Hafez, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Amina El-Nemr, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Siham Gad Al-Haq, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, Prof. Ohood El-Sheikh, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit.

The visit of the team of reviewers comes from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, to renew the accreditation of the Faculty of Nursing and to ensure the achievement of educational quality standards in the laboratories and lecture areas and accommodation and fit the halls with the numbers of students in each department and faculty members and educational programs at the faculty.

Dr. Ashraf Abdul Basit pointed out the need to have a real quality in universities and educational facilities and that the Faculty of Nursing is one of the distinctive faculties within the university and have different educational programs, including the intensive program for graduates of scientific faculties, which works to qualify the graduate to practice medical work in hospitals and centers and create suitable work opportunities for him. This is the goal that the University is working to achieve and attention to all aspects of quality to reach a strong graduate competes in the local, regional and international labor market.
