Newcomers Unit Celebrates International Nursing Day
The Newcomers Unit at the Faculty of Nursing organized a celebration for International Nursing Day under the patronage of:
Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of the University
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia, Vice President of the University for Education and Students' Affairs
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development
The event was attended by the esteemed honorees, heads of the Nursing Department in hospitals and medical centers:
Prof. Dr. Amina Al-Nimr, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing
Prof. Dr .Abeerr Zakaria, Vice Dean for Education and Students' Affairs
Prof. Dr. Nahed Qandil, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research
Prof. Dr. Wafaa Hamed Al-Shafie, Coordinator of the Newcomers Unit
Dr. Eman Yasser, Coordinator of the Newcomers Unit for Education and Students' Affairs
Dr. Amina Hassan, Coordinator of the Newcomers Unit for Postgraduate Studies
The celebration was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Fatima Al-Imam, Director of the Nursing Technical Institute, heads of scientific departments, and nursing staff at the university hospitals Dr. Ahmed Salah, Deputy General Supervisor of the University's Expatriate Management Department.
Professor Dr. Amina El-Nimr expressed her deep gratitude to His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Sharif Khater, for his appreciation of the efforts made to emphasize the role of nursing in serving the community and that nursing is the first line of defense for the Egyptian patient. She also stressed the need for nursing staff to receive continuous training and education.
Dr. Amina El-Nimr expressed her happiness at the presence of all attendees and emphasized that the message of the day's celebration is a message of appreciation for thefor the efforts made to emphasize the role of nursing in serving society, and that nursing is the first line of defense for the Egyptian patient, and nursing staff must receive continuous training and education. Dr. Amina ElNimr indicated the extent to which Her happiness with all those present, and that today’s message of celebration is a message of appreciation for nursing’s effort and distinguished contribution in serving the Egyptian and Arab patient. Nursing has proven over time that it is as responsible in times of crises and that it is an important part of the medical system.
At the end of the ceremony, after words of gratitude from some of the heads of the nursing staff, certificates of appreciation were handed over to the nursing staff, and certificates of appreciation were handed over to the incoming students for their participation in the activities, amidst a state of happiness for this honour.
