April is Aware Women's Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness about the risks of cesarean birth.

Fourth-year students in the Nursing Sciences Specialization Program (Midwifery) – Department of Women's Health and Obstetrics Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, organized an awareness activity for female university students and women visiting the University Obstetrics and Gynecology Center, entitled:
"The Risks of Cesarean Section." This activity was held as part of International Women's Awareness Month and included educational sessions on cesarean sections, their causes, the cesarean section rate in Egypt, and the main factors contributing to the increase in this rate compared to the World Health Organization's guidelines. The activity also addressed and corrected common myths surrounding cesarean sections.

This activity is part of the educational and community outreach plan of the Department of Women's Health and Midwifery Nursing, which aims to integrate academic learning with practical application and community service, and to prepare students capable of spreading health awareness and contributing to disease prevention among different segments of society.
