Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Atiya El-Yomny, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, the orientation program for internship students was launched on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
This program aims to comprehensively prepare students for the internship phase, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to face the challenges of working in the healthcare field. The program was organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wafaa Fathi Salem, Professor of Nursing Administration, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amira Abdel Moneim Ibrahim, Academic Coordinator of the Internship Program at the faculty.
The program covered a wide range of key topics, including the unified internship students’ regulations, professional practice guidelines, effective communication skills with patients and colleagues, in addition to accurate nursing documentation—ensuring that new graduates are well-prepared and equipped with the tools needed to provide high-quality healthcare.
Faculty members from various practical departments participated in delivering the training program. The orientation was not limited to providing information; rather, the organizers were keen to actively engage students through open discussions, exchange of experiences, and consideration of their valuable opinions. This interactive environment gave students the opportunity to share their experiences and inquiries, which contributed to deepening their understanding of the discussed topics and enriching the content delivered.
This attention to students’ feedback reflects the faculty’s commitment to building a generation of distinguished nurses capable of effectively contributing to the development of the healthcare system.
