The launch of the initiative "Empowering students in the health care sector to adapt to climate changes" within the activities of the first international conference at Mansoura University. In light of Mansoura University's adoption of sustainable development strategies and the vision of the Egyptian state, and its interest in preparing scientific plans, programs and conferences to ensure the achievement of a comprehensive and sustainable role for the university in community service and environmental development, the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University hosted the activities of the first international and fourth national conference for students entitled: "Empowering students in the care sector Health Ministry to Adapt to Climate Change - Challenges and Possibilities”. The conference held in Tuesday, February 14, 2023, in the Conference Hall of the General Administration of the University, with the participation of 15 different Egyptian and Arab universities. This conference came under the partonage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the leadership of Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater- President of Mansoura University, Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi- Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. / Amina El-Nemer- Dean of the Faculty, supervised by Prof. Abeer Zakaria - Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Wadad Saber- Coordinator of Student Activities, in the presence of Prof. Mosaad Mandour- Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Postgraduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Nahed Kandil - Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Wafaa Fathy- Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental Affairs, and a number of faculty members and students from various Egyptian Arab universities. The conference aims to exchange visions and practical ideas on ways to empower students in the health care sector in light of the contemporary climatic and environmental changes. Several sub-goals emerge from this goal represented in qualifying students with the tools and skills to adapt to climate changes, and preparing scientifically qualified cadres in the health team to deal with climate crises. Spreading health and environmental awareness among university students, as well as standing on the local and international community's readiness to adapt to climate changes, and assessing international challenges and risks towards these changes from the students' point of view. The conference dealt with a number of themes, including the importance of digital transformation and hybrid learning in light of climate changes, nutrition and lifestyles to adapt to climate changes, tools and strategies for adapting to climate changes, managing climate crises, environmental risks resulting from climate changes, pressures and social support related to climate changes.

On Tuesday 16/8/2022, Faculty of nursing mansoura university received a visit of the Projects management unit team for the higher education ministry in order to follow up the updates with the projects of educational effectiveness in preparation for the accreditation from the German accreditation organization (AHPGs).

The visit aimed to provide technical support as regarding making the faculty self-study and attachments of the international accreditation project.

The Excellence Protocol between the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, was renewed on Tuesday, 8/8/2022.

In the presence of Prof. Wafaa Fathy Selim- Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Wedad Saber-coordinator of the agreement with 57357 Children’s Cancer Foundation headed by Prof. Sherif Abul-Naga and in the presence of the deans and coordinators of agreements at the faculties of nursing at Menoufia University, Egypt University, October 6 University, South Valley University, Port Said University, Damanhour University, Suez Canal University, Helwan University, Mrs. Sahar Moussa Soliman, Nursing Director, and Mrs. Ragaa Said, Deputy The director and Mrs. Samah Alawi, director of the training unit.

Where they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the institution and the various nursing colleges, then reviewed the activities of the hospital and the training unit. After that, the deans toured the hospital to inspect the students and learn about the hospital’s activities, within the framework of the joint cooperation between the Nursing Mansoura University Faculty and 57357 Egypt Foundation for the treatment of childhood cancer.

On Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10:00 Cairo time, a training course about aged care was conducted with the participation of more than 100 students and Teaching staff from the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, for the Belt and Road Countries (Egypt).

And that is under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meligy: Acting President of Mansoura University and Prof. Ashraf Tarek-Hafiz, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amina El-Nemr-Dean of the College of Nursing and Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria - Acting Dean of the College and Prof. Soad Hassan Abdel Hameed - Head of the Department of Gerontological Nursing (Coordinator of the Training Program).
