Faculty of Nursing Hosts Internal Audit Team for ISO 9001:180 Quality Management System from the Center for Excellence and Future Foresight at Mansoura University

On Wednesday and Thursday, November 26 and 27, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University hosted the Internal Audit Team for ISO 9001:180 Quality Management System from the Center for Excellence and Future Foresight. This event was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Sherif Khater, President of the University; Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Saad Abdel-Wahab, Secretary General of the University; Dr. Walid Tantawi, Assistant Secretary General for Education and Student Affairs and Head of the Internal Audit Team; and Dr. Bishoy El-Qass Sidhom Bishay, Director of the Center for Excellence and Future Foresight and Director of the Project to Qualify Mansoura University Faculties for ISO 9001 Certification

The review team was received by Professor Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Professor Dr. Fatima Al-Imam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. They welcomed the team and affirmed the Faculty's full support for the review processes and institutional development efforts.

The review was conducted by the University's internal review team, which carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the Faculty's various units and departments to determine the extent of compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:180 standard.

This visit comes within the framework of the Center for Excellence and Future Foresight's plan to qualify Mansoura University's faculties to obtain ISO 9001:180 certification, paving the way for the awarding phase, and supporting the University's initiatives in establishing a culture of quality and institutional development.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Center for Excellence and Future Foresight wishes the Faculty of Nursing every success in its journey towards obtaining the quality certificate, affirming its continued technical support for the Faculty and all University units.

Dr. Bishoy, the Center's Director, also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the internal review team for their significant efforts and the high level of commitment and professionalism they demonstrated during the review process

First Aid Training Program for Specialized Medical Hospital staff as a part of the Public Service Center activities plan

The training session was held on 18, November, 2025, face to face in the Conference Hall at the Faculty of Nursing- Mansoura University. It was focused on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The training Lasted for 3 days:-

Launch of the Internship Training Program for Intensive Program Students at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University (Academic Year 2025–2026) (2)

The activities of the internship training program for intensive program students commenced at the Computer Laboratory of the Faculty. The sessions were conducted by a distinguished group of faculty members from the Department of Critical Care and Emergency Nursing.

The training extended over two consecutive weeks, as follows:

Day One: Tuesday, September 23, 2025
Training topics included:

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Oxygen therapy and nebulization sessions

Performing electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures

Day Two: Tuesday, September 30, 2025
Training topics included:

Measurement of central venous pressure (CVP)

Nasogastric tube feeding

Endotracheal suctioning

Arterial blood sampling and interpretation of results

As a part of Mansoura University's plan to spread a culture of institutional excellence and build cadres capable of innovation and achieving excellence at both the academic and administrative levels,Faculty of Nursing received a technical support visit from the Excellence Evaluators Team at the University's Center for Excellence and Future Foresight, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Faculty dean, over the periodof Sunday and Monday, September 28 and 29, 2025.

Central Venous Pressure (CVP) measurement, Enteral Feeding, Endotracheal Tube Suctioning, and Arterial Puncture and Arterial Blood Gases(ABG) Interpretation

The Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, has been ranked among the top three among the 28 nursing faculties nationwide by the Egyptian Health Council.

The Center for Measurement and Evaluation holds a "Test Item Preparation" course for faculty members at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President of Mansoura University for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha El-Ashmawy, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at Mansoura University.

At the request of Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and in coordination with Asst. Prof. Dr. Rasha Abbas, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty, to hold measurement and evaluation courses for faculty members, the "Preparing Test Items" course was held today, Sunday, June 15, 2025, using the Microsoft Teams application. Prof. Dr. Iman Zahran Abdel Hamid, Deputy Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the University, lectured in the course.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Maha Abdo El-Ashmawy, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the University, welcomed the participating faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing. The course aimed to develop skills in formulating high-quality questions according to approved scientific standards. It covered the basic concepts of validity, reliability, and fairness in assessment, classifying question types and the characteristics of each type, writing effective question stems and alternatives, applying Bloom's cognitive pyramid in vocabulary building, in addition to practical exercises on analyzing and improving questions. The course witnessed a distinguished interaction from the participants who enriched the discussion with their experiences and questions, which had a significant impact on the success of the course and the achievement of its objectives. Their Excellencies requested more courses in the near future, God willing.

A delegation from Sinop University in Turkey visited the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The delegation included:

Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria presented the undergraduate and postgraduate programs taught at the faculty. She also discussed the enrollment of international students and the availability of the international students unit. The study system at the faculty was also explained and the delegation inspected the skill labs, including the simulation lab and the OSCE lab. Her Excellency also confirmed the full readiness for international collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University and Sinop University in Türkiye.
