As part of the Faculty of Nursing’s ongoing commitment to instilling a culture of quality and enhancing institutional development, the Measurement and Assessment Unit organized an orientation session for the academic year 2025/2026. This session was held as part of the activities of the 7th International Conference of the Woman's Health and Midwifery Nursing Department.
The session took place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Faculty’s Conference Hall, integrated within the conference's scientific program.
The orientation session aimed to achieve several primary goals, most notably:
* Defining the role of the Measurement and Assessment Unit in supporting and developing the educational process.
* Enhancing the quality of learning outcomes in alignment with quality standards and academic accreditation.
* Supporting the implementation of modern evaluation systems within the faculty to ensure the improvement of academic and educational performance.
The event witnessed distinguished attendance and engagement from faculty members and their assistants, reflecting their keen interest in exchanging expertise and adopting best educational practices to elevate the standard of education within the faculty.

A Specialized Training Course for Faculty Members and Teaching Assistants Entitled “Rubrics” at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University

Within the framework of the continuous pursuit to develop the educational system and ensure the quality of examinations and assessment, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, headed by Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Chairperson of the Unit’s Board, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Hassan Abbas, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Josephine Atef, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at the Faculty, organized a specialized training course for faculty members and their assistants entitled “Rubrics.”
The course was held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Nursing.
The course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Fatma Fathi Amin, Professor of Pediatric Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University.
The course addressed key themes aiming to:
Enhance the accuracy and objectivity of student assessment.
Clarify the relationship between assessment criteria and the intended Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs).
This comes within the framework of commitment to the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
All attendees praised the importance of the selected topic and expressed their admiration for the training courses implemented by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in coordination with the University’s Measurement and Evaluation Center, which aim to raise the efficiency of faculty members and their assistants and keep them informed of the latest developments in improving the student assessment system at the Faculty.

The Board of Directors of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit held a meeting today, Sunday, November 30, 2025.
The meeting was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and under the supervision of Asst.. Prof. Dr. Rasha Hassan Abbas, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, and the esteemed members of the Board.
To discuss several important topics and:
To review completed tasks, follow up on documentation procedures, and coordinate roles among team members to ensure files are ready according to the highest accreditation standards.
These meetings are part of the college's commitment to implementing the highest quality standards, developing measurement and evaluation systems, and supporting integration within the institutional structure, and the requirements for academic accreditation come within the college’s plan to enhance quality standards and improve the institutional work system in achieving outstanding and sustainable educational performance.
Within the framework of the College’s efforts to support digital transformation and advance modern assessment systems, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Nursing – Mansoura University – conducted a workshop entitled “Electronic Examinations” on Sunday, November 16, 2025, held at 11:00 AM in the Faculty of Nursing Conference Hall.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Eman Ahmed Fadel, a member of the Training Committee at the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, covering the latest methodologies in designing electronic exams and strategies to enhance the efficiency of the university’s assessment systems.

It contributes to fostering a culture of digital transformation aligned with the university’s vision for educational quality.
