The Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University organized the 6th International Scientific Conference of the Community Health Nursing Department entitled:
"Health and Therapeutic Tourism: Where are We?
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership and Prof. Dr. Tarek Mustafa Ghouloush, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Zakaria - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing - Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Nahed Attia Qandil - Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Research and Cultural Relations
And organized by Prof. Dr. Sahar Mohamed Soliman, Head of the Community Health Nursing Department, Conference Rapporteur
And Prof. Dr. Amal Ibrahim Ahmed, Professor of Community Health Nursing and Conference Secretary
With the attendance of a group of experts and specialists in the fields of community health, environment, tourism and treatment.
The conference was a rich dialogue platform, as it discussed many important topics about the role of tourism in promoting health and treatment, and the importance of medical tourism in Egypt and the region. It also witnessed the attendance and participation of a group of prominent scientists Such as:
- Prof. Dr. Major General Doctor Ahmed El-Tawdi, Former President of the Military Medical Academy, Current President of the Arab Council for Health Specialties
- Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ibrahim Youssef, Professor at the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University
- Prof. Dr. Raefa Alaam - Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura National University. Professor of Geriatric Nursing
- Prof. Dr. Howayda Anas El-Wogod - Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing, Alexandria University
- Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Hammad - Assistant Professor of Tourism Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Mansoura University

Thanks to everyone's efforts, the conference was a milestone in enhancing cooperation between the medical and tourism sectors, emphasizing the importance of medical tourism in improving the quality of life and promoting health.
The conference concluded with several important recommendations, which are:
1. Including the health and medical tourism course within the community health nursing department courses
2. Developing a clinical guide for health and medical tourism
3. Developing a strategy to raise awareness of health and medical tourism in the Arab Republic of Egypt
4. Holding joint training courses between the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels
5. Developing a strategy to use artificial intelligence within a national system for health and medical tourism.
