Outstanding participation of the Community Health Nursing Department - Faculty of Nursing in the border caravan to Halayeb, Shalateen, and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate.
In collaboration with the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Dakahlia and the Presidential Initiative "Hayah Kareema," the border caravan to Halayeb, Shalateen, and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate took place from Friday, May 17, 2024, to Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

The health awareness team from the Community Health Nursing Department at the Faculty conducted various health seminars and individual sessions covering the following topics:
- Different family planning methods and their impact on maternal and child health.
- Benefits of breastfeeding for maternal and infant health.
- How to perform breast self-examination and its role in early detection of breast cancer.
- Early detection of cervical cancer.
- Prevention of reproductive infections in girls.
- Puberty in girls and boys.
- Management of menstrual disorders.
- Infection control practices for nursing staff.
- Training nurses in family planning counseling.
- Personal hygiene.
- First aid.
- Importance of mandatory vaccinations for children.
- Parasitic infections and prevention methods.
- Adopting a healthy lifestyle and its impact on disease prevention.
- Proper nutrition.
- Anemia.
- Prevention of respiratory infections.
- Importance of vitamins, minerals, and their sources.
The awareness team targeted:

- Children
- Nursing staff
Inside Shalateen Central Hospital, Nursing School, and Shalateen Cultural Palace over the course of three days.
