Participation of the Critical Care and Emergency Nursing Department in an Awareness Caravan about Improving Demographic Characteristics and Raising Awareness of the Golden Thousand Initiative

In accordance with Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Program in health, the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University is continuing its series of convoys to activate its awareness role in the community. This is part of the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, "A New Beginning for Building the Human" for human development, which aims to invest in human capital through a work program targeting human development and working to establish the Egyptian identity by enhancing efforts, coordination, and integration among all state entities in various regions of the republic.

Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Sherif Khater-President of Mansoura University, and Prof.Dr Mohamed Abdel Azim- Vice President of the University for Community Service, Environmental Development, Prof.DrAbeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof.Dr/ Wafaa Fathy Selim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof.Dr. Ahlam Joudah- Director of the Public Service Unit .

Together with the National Population Council, the Mansoura University Faculty of Nursing organized an awareness convoy to improve demographics and increase public knowledge of the Golden Thousand Initiative, which addresses issues such as maternal and child care, the risks of early marriage and illiteracy, the promotion of freelancing, environmental protection from pollution, and the perils of addiction.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the Endowments Administration in Mansoura, the Health Directorate, the Family Development Administration, the Adult Education Authority, the Project Development Agency, and the National Council for Women were among the Dakahlia Governorate's various sectors that participated in this event, which was held in the village of Naqita, Mansoura Center. Furthermore, Al/Ayat Mohamed- Assistant Lecture at Critical Care and Emergency Nursing Department gave a presentation on malnutrition diseases that covered topics such as the definition, causes, and risk factors of malnutrition, as well as its symptoms in children, diagnosis, treatment, complications, and prevention strategies.
