and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty;
and Prof. Dr. Fatma El-Emam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
📢 Launch of the First Activities in the Oral and Dental Health Awareness & Service Series at Mansoura University 🦷✨Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of the University,
and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Yasser Lotfy Abdel Nabi, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry,
and Prof. Dr. Rabab Ibrahim Salama, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,
In cooperation with the General Administration of Environmental Projects in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, led by Eng. Sherif Fawzi,
and with the participation of distinguished faculty members and teaching assistants from the Department of Oral Health and Preventive Dentistry, headed by Prof. Dr. Salwa Adel Hegazy, along with:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nasr Mohamed Attia, Dr. Basma Hamza, Student Sherif Gamal, Student Hadeel Wael, Student Mariam Mahmoud, and Student Salsabil Mohamed.
🔹 The Faculty of Dentistry launched the first activities in a series of awareness and service initiatives in oral and dental health, targeting university students with the aim of:
✔️ Promoting health awareness among students
✔️ Enhancing understanding of health and environmental issues
✔️ Linking academic study with practical application
✔️ Reinforcing values of cooperation and responsibility
✔️ Encouraging innovation in health awareness outreach
✔️ Increasing student engagement on campus
📅 The first activities began on Monday, 16 February 2026, with the organization of two awareness convoys to:
🔸 Faculty of Commerce
🔸 Faculty of Nursing
👨⚕️👩⚕️ Each convoy included a distinguished group of faculty members and teaching assistants, along with 30 male and female students from the Faculty of Dentistry.
🎯 The two convoys reached approximately 750 students and included:
🦷 Comprehensive awareness on oral and dental diseases and proper prevention methods
🗣️ Interactive lectures and individual and group discussions
🎁 Competitions and prize distribution to correct health misconceptions
📄 Distribution of educational brochures and informational materials
