The President of Mansoura University honors members of the "Bridges of Goodness 23" convoy in appreciation of their contributions in Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad
Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, honored the members of the comprehensive development convoy “Bridges of Goodness 23” in appreciation of their efforts and sincere contributions in serving the people of the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate. The honoring took place during a ceremony organized today in the University Council Hall.
The event was attended by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Sahar Tawfik, Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Dr. Yasser Lotfy, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Dr. Maha El Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Professor Saad Abdel Wahab, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Hala Abdel Razek, First Undersecretary of the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Dakahlia, Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi, Head of the Medical Team, Dr. Metwally Abu Saree, Administrative Director of the Convoy, along with members of the convoy from various specialties and members of the administrative staff.During his speech, Dr. Sherif Khater welcomed the members of the convoy and thanked them, as well as the deans of the participating colleges, for their sincere efforts that reflected the true image of the community role of Mansoura University in supporting border areas.
He stressed that the "Bridges of Goodness" convoys represent an integrated national model of community solidarity, and contribute effectively to improving the quality of life in the most needy areas.
He added that the “Bridges of Goodness 23” convoy comes in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to enhance developmental and health support for the people of the border regions, and within the framework of the university’s strategy consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030, stressing the university’s full commitment to continuing to provide specialized services, and to receive all cases referred for treatment at the university’s hospitals free of charge.
He added that the “Bridges of Goodness 23” convoy comes in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to enhance developmental and health support for the people of the border regions, and within the framework of the university’s strategy consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030, stressing the university’s full commitment to continuing to provide specialized services, and to receive all cases referred for treatment at the university’s hospitals free of charge.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim confirmed that the “Bridges of Goodness 23” convoy embodied an integrated system of medical, veterinary, awareness, developmental, educational and sports services, noting the remarkable expansion in the size of participation and the scope of services provided this year in the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad, which contributed to meeting the needs of thousands of beneficiaries.
He pointed to the quality services provided and the distribution of large quantities of food and medicine free of charge to families most in need, thanking the team members for their great efforts and appreciating the support and facilities provided by the executive authorities in the Red Sea Governorate.
Professor Saad Abdel Wahab also expressed his gratitude to all members of the convoy, stressing that this achievement reflects the spirit of institutional work and integration between the various sectors of the university in carrying out its national and community mission.
Dr. Hala Abdel Razek praised the leading role of Mansoura University in supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, stressing that integration between state institutions contributes to reaching the most needy groups, pointing to the logistical support and food supplies provided by the directorate to the most vulnerable families as part of the convoy's activities.
Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi expressed her appreciation for the continued support from the university presidency, praising the close coordination and facilities that enabled the medical team to implement an extensive package of treatment services and advanced examinations within Shalateen Central Hospital.
Dr. Metwally Abu Saree expressed his gratitude to the Mansoura University family, appreciating the great effort made by the convoy team in implementing medical, veterinary, awareness and community programs throughout the days of the convoy.
The event concluded with honoring Dr. Hala Abdel Razek, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the leaders of the convoy and the members of the participating teams, and taking commemorative photos, in confirmation of the university’s appreciation for their sincere effort and collective national work.
It is worth mentioning that the “Bridges of Goodness 23” convoy set off last November to the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate, with the participation of 48 members of the faculty, administrators and specialists from the colleges of: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Early Childhood Education.
The convoy also provided services in the fields of health and veterinary care, community awareness, educational and sports activities, in addition to training nursing staff.Implementing health education campaigns and distributing food and medicine free of charge to the most needy families, reflecting the national and humanitarian role of Mansoura University in serving the people of the nation in the border regions.
