Meeting of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit – Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University
As part of the Faculty of Nursing’s commitment to enhancing preparedness and effective response to crises and disasters, a meeting was held for the members of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit. The meeting took place under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University; Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Fatma El-Imam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Amal Ahmed El-Metwally, Head of the Unit, where members of the unit presented and discussed the topics on the agenda. The meeting was held on Sunday, December 28, 2035.
The meeting addressed a number of topics related to activating the crisis management plan within the Faculty, as well as reviewing preventive measures and precautionary procedures required to deal with potential risks in a way that ensures the safety of students, faculty members, and staff. The roles and responsibilities of team members were also reviewed, along with ways to strengthen coordination between the unit and the various departments within the Faculty, in addition to emphasizing the importance of continuous training and raising awareness of crisis management culture.
