the Faculty of Nursing team, led by Prof. Fatma El-Imam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and with the participation of Dr. Dalia El-Said, Dr. Doaa Mohamed, and Ms. Basma Reda, carried out a series of educational and awareness activities on the second day of the convoy, Monday, 17 November 2025.
These activities targeted hospital nurses, students of El-Shalateen Nursing School and Institute, as well as local community members. The aim was to support the knowledge and skills of nursing staff, correct misconceptions, and provide health education to patients attending the outpatient clinics.
The activities included:
First:
Educational seminars for students of the Nursing School and Technical Institute on:
* Body systems (urinary and reproductive systems)
* Nursing code of ethics
* Medical and nursing diagnosis
* Nursing care plans for common problems (e.g., fever, cough)
* Effective communication
* Stress management
* Care during pregnancy and postpartum
* Reproductive health
* Premarital counseling
* Dealing with disabilities and people with special needs
* Medical terminology
Second:
Providing guidance on:
* Management of gastroenteritis and respiratory infections
* Handling dermatological conditions, particularly infectious ones
Third:
Training sessions for hospital critical-care nurses on:
* Emergency trolley
* Chest tube management
* Arterial blood sampling
* Advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACLS)
* Cardiac monitoring
The hospital and institute administrations praised the efforts and dedication of the faculty members involved.
