Continuation of the Activities of the “Premarital Counseling” Initiative for Undergraduate Students at Mansoura University

As part of Mansoura University Faculty of Nursing’s ongoing efforts to promote health and social awareness among university students, the activities of the “Premarital Counseling” initiative continue, targeting undergraduate students across various faculties.

This initiative is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

It is led by Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Prof. Dr. Sahar Tawfik Naseem, Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education; Prof. Dr. Fatma El-Emam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at the Faculty of Nursing; and Prof. Dr. Samah Ramadan Khamis, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education.
The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahar Mohamed Suleiman, Head of the Community Health Nursing Department, and Prof. Dr. Samia Mahmoud Abdel-Moaty, Professor of Community Health Nursing.

The session took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, and was delivered by Dr. Narges Fathi Mohamed El refaei, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Community Health Nursing.
The seminar addressed several key topics, including the importance of premarital medical examination, screening for hereditary and infectious diseases and methods of prevention, as well as discussions on mental health and marital compatibility.

The faculty continues to implement the initiative through an innovative and interactive approach based on Digital Storytelling, in line with the ongoing digital transformation in education and health promotion. This effort supports the achievement of Egypt’s Vision 2030, aiming to build a more aware and healthier generation.

Together towards youth better prepared for a healthy and responsible marital life.
