An educational seminar on Egyptian national security between the October victories and the challenges of the era at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azeem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Fatma Elemam, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Major General 2/Sabry Mohamed Ragab and Dr. Maisa El-Menshawy, Director of the Dakahlia Media Complex, General Authority for Information.
The seminar began with the national anthem and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Ms. Abeer Zakaria spoke about the month of victory, October 6, and welcomed the guests. She emphasized that youth are the hope of the future and also the safety valve of Egyptian society and the front of awareness that confronts attempts to tamper with our identity and the stability of the nation. Major General Sabry Ragab spoke about the turning points in the Egyptian army's battles, and that the 1967 war resulted in the martyrdom of more than 120,000 Egyptians. He also said that Sinai, with its rich natural resources, has always been a target, which necessitates preserving it through development, not just protecting it with weapons.
After developing Sinai today through tunnels, factories, agriculture, and the Peace Canal, which cuts through Sinai with goodness, this is the response to the greedy. He also pointed out that the War of Attrition changed military thinking and preparation for the great battle, and the use of water to demolish the Bar Lev Line. He pointed to the rumor mills spreading across social media. Dr. Maysa El-Shenawy explained that the goal of the symposium is to raise national and cultural awareness among young people and fourth-generation wars.
