Participation of Faculty Members from the Faculty of Nursing – Mansoura University in the Training Courses at the Measurement and AssessmentCenter
As part of Mansoura University’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency of its faculty members and developing modern assessment methods in line with quality standards and academic accreditation, faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing – Mansoura University participated in the specialized training course entitled “Item Analysis.”
This course was held under the patronage of:
Prof. Sherif Khater – President of Mansoura University
Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs
Prof. Maha Abdo El-Ashmawy – Director of the Measurement and AssessmentCenter at the University
With the leadership of:
Prof. Abeer Zakaria – Dean of the Faculty of Nursing – Mansoura University
And under the supervision of:
Assoc. Prof. Rasha Hassan Abbas – Director of the Measurement and Assessment Unit at the Faculty
The training activities took place on Tuesday, September 16, via Microsoft Teams.
This course aimed to develop the faculty members’ capabilities in:
Analyzing exam items to ensure their validity and reliability.
Identifying item difficulty level and its ability to distinguish between students of different performance levels.
Determining the appropriateness of questions in measuring the intended learning outcomes.
Improving the quality of examinations to ensure fairness and objectivity in evaluation.
These efforts come in line with the vision and mission of Mansoura University and the Faculty of Nursing and in support of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which places education and its quality at the forefront of sustainable development priorities.
This active participation of the Faculty of Nursing members reflects the college’s commitment to developing the educational process and advancing assessment mechanisms in accordance with the latest developments in higher education.
