Amendment of the program application rules of detection of literary plagiarism (TURNITIN)

The University Council decided in its meeting that held on 30/9/2019 to approve the amendment of the program application rules of detection of literary plagiarism (Turnitin) in order to facilitate for the graduate students.

Previously, the student was sending the scientific content and forms to the registration coordinator at the university administration on e-mail and pay the registration fees and the administrative coordinator receives the e-mail sent by the researcher to the main e-mail of the program: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and review it.
 
When the researcher's data is complete, the administrative coordinator at the university sends a special code to the researcher, then the university administrative officer sends the scientific content and code number to the administrative officer of the central library. The Central Library officials make sure that the scientific content is free from any kind of circumvention of the program and upload the files on the program to prevent plagiarism and communicate with the General Coordinator of the faculty to start the examination.
 
After the examination, the general coordinator of the faculty sends the final report to the administrative library at the Central Library, which contains the percentages of the applicant for examination in the case of leave, but in case of non-leave, the general coordinator of the faculty send the report and attached with the file required to amend it. 
After that, the Central Library officer required to resent the results that sent by the faculty coordinator to the administrative officer in the university administration in order to send the files to be modified by the student in the case of non- leave or to extract the certificate in the case of leave.
 
The certificate is sent to the program coordinator at the Faculty of Science for signature and then sent to the Vice President for signature and the student receives the certificate from the Office of the Vice President.
 
After the approval of the University Council, the rules were amended as follows:
 
After completing the thesis and the abstract research, the graduate student should go to the coordinator of the scientific section of the faculty to conduct the examination on the turnitin program and make the necessary adjustments until it reaches the required percentage. 
 
By passing the program, the coordinator of the scientific department will sign the validity report of the thesis with the supervision committee and submit it to the council of the scientific section as a requirement of the formation of the committees of governance and discussion. The graduate student should pay the fees through the Graduate Studies administration of the faculty.
