*Faculty of Nursing Launches the 4th International and 7th Local Student Conference with International Participation*

*Student Contributions from Egyptian Universities Reflect Leadership in Scientific Research and Innovation in the Healthcare Sector*

The Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University inaugurated the 4th International and 7th Local Student Conference under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Beiyoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The conference was led by Prof. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Prof. Awatef Hassan Qasem, Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in collaboration with Sinop University (Republic of Türkiye) and University of Misan (Republic of Iraq).

Held under the title *“Smart Healthcare: Multidisciplinary Perspectives,”* the conference featured distinguished participation from students of Egyptian universities, reflecting the growing interest in supporting student scientific research and fostering a culture of innovation in healthcare.

The conference was attended by Prof. Nahed Kandil, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Fatma El-Emam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; heads of scientific departments; and faculty members. The Faculty’s Student Union and the “Students for Egypt” family also played an active role in the event.

The conference witnessed 57 outstanding student presentations from various Egyptian public, private, and national universities, including:

* New Mansoura University
* Mansoura National University
* University of Innovation
* Capital University
* Delta University for Science and Technology
* Kafrelsheikh National University

In addition to participation from other governmental universities, demonstrating academic diversity, scientific integration among educational institutions, and affirming the Faculty of Nursing’s leading role in supporting student creativity.

The organization of this conference aligns with Mansoura University’s commitment to fruitful international cooperation, enhancing academic exchange and openness to global experiences in smart healthcare, while supporting the university’s vision toward the internationalization of education and research.

In this context, Prof. Abeer Zakaria emphasized that the conference represents a distinguished scientific platform to support student research and foster innovation among nursing and healthcare students. She noted that this year’s high level of participation reflects the Faculty’s leading academic standing and its role in strengthening both local and international academic partnerships. She further highlighted its alignment with national directions toward digital transformation and the development of the healthcare system, affirming that today’s students are the future leaders in building a smart and sustainable healthcare system.

Prof. Awatef Hassan Qasem explained that the conference provides a genuine opportunity to develop students’ research and academic skills, enhance their presentation, discussion, and critical thinking abilities, and promote positive scientific competition and knowledge exchange among universities. It also broadens students’ perspectives and connects them with the latest global trends in smart healthcare, offering a scientific platform to present ideas and projects supporting healthcare system development amid rapid digital and technological transformation.

Dr. Widad Saber, Student Activities Coordinator and Conference Rapporteur, confirmed that reaching 57 student submissions reflects advanced academic awareness and strong belief in scientific research as a fundamental tool for development and change. She added that the conference serves as a strategic platform for empowering students scientifically and research-wise, fostering sustainable research culture, and strengthening extended academic partnerships between Egyptian and international universities in support of smart healthcare trends and global advancements in the health sector.

The conference concluded with emphasis on the importance of continued support for student scientific research, strengthening international academic partnerships, and expanding innovation pathways in smart healthcare. These efforts contribute to preparing qualified professionals capable of leading a modern and sustainable healthcare system and further reinforce Mansoura University’s position as a leading academic institution in scientific and research excellence locally and internationally.
