A symposium entitled "Scientific Innovation: New Horizons for Thinking and Creativity"
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Dr. Mariam Wissa, Director of the Mansoura University Center for Giftedness, Innovators, and Geniuses; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wedad Saber, Director of the Scientific Genius Unit at the Mansoura University Center for Giftedness, Innovators, and Geniuses; Dr. Iman Yasser, Director of the Creativity and Innovation Unit at the Faculty; and Asst. Eng. Mustafa Shawky, Deputy Director of the Creativity and Innovation Unit at the Faculty, a symposium entitled "Scientific Innovation: New Horizons for Thinking and Creativity" was held on Monday, May 5, 2025, in the Faculty's conference hall. Assistant Professor Dr. Wedad Saber Shafiq lectured. The symposium addressed the concepts of creativity and innovation and their importance in developing education and services, not only as theoretical concepts, but also as practical values and skills that can be developed and employed. During the symposium, we reviewed creative thinking methods and approaches, and how to overcome traditional challenges using various thinking tools, such as design thinking and critical thinking, linking these approaches to the reality of academic and applied work within the college.
We were also pleased to showcase some of the outstanding student and academic projects, which provided us with live examples of innovative projects implemented within the college, which have had a significant impact on improving the quality of educational and healthcare services. In conclusion, we thank everyone who contributed to organizing this symposium and everyone who shared their ideas, initiatives, and experiences. We invite you all to continue supporting the environment of innovation and creativity, and to work together to transform promising ideas into tangible achievements.
