Implementation of an Awareness Seminar Entitled: “Professional Ethics and Confidentiality of Information” Under the patronage of: Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater – President of the University Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Affairs Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Zakaria – Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Fatma El-Imam – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Prof. Dr. Sahar Mohamed Soliman – Head of the Community Health Nursing Department Dr. Heba Gad Allah – Head of the Community Service Committee at the Scientific Department In line with the community role of the Community Health Nursing Department – Mansoura University, and within the framework of promoting professional and ethical culture among workers, an awareness seminar entitled “Professional Ethics and Confidentiality of Information” was conducted at the Medical Reform Complex. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about fundamental professional values and the regulations governing the handling of patients’ information in accordance with proper healthcare practice standards. The seminar was delivered by: Dr. Eman Refaat The seminar addressed the ethical principles that healthcare professionals must adhere to, including respect for patients’ privacy, confidentiality of medical data, the importance of professional integrity, and appropriate ways to deal with sensitive ethical situations within the workplace. In addition, the laws regulating the protection of health information were discussed, along with common scenarios that may constitute breaches of confidentiality and how to avoid them. The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion and practical examples to enhance the applied understanding of professional ethics principles, thereby supporting the quality of healthcare services provided within the community
