Participation of the Critical Care and Emergency Nursing Department in a Symposium Entitled “Academic Accessibility” at the Mansoura University Service Center for Persons with Disabilities

The Service Center for Persons with Disabilities organized a symposium entitled “Academic Accessibility” on Thursday, 13 November 2025. This event is part of a series of university activities aimed at fostering an inclusive educational environment and enhancing pathways for academic accessibility for students with disabilities.
The symposium addressed the following key areas:
The concept of academic accessibility and its significance in achieving equitable and inclusive education.
Converting academic content into multiple formats (audio, digital, and visual) to meet the diverse needs of students.
Mechanisms for designing electronic courses and integrating assistive media.
Practical challenges within classrooms and digital learning platforms, along with proposed solutions and recommendations to enhance academic inclusion.
Faculty members with disabilities contributed to the event by presenting real-life experiences and field-based insights on implementing accessibility within academic courses, adding both humanistic and scholarly depth to the symposium.
