The first midwifery course was held at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, on the sidelines of the Fifth International Conference of the women's health and midwifery nursing department

The Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, organized the first training course of its kind for midwifery on the sidelines of the Fifth International Conference of women's health and midwifery nursing department in cooperation with the British Medical Association and a group of faculty members at the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amina El-Nemr - Dean of the Faculty of Nursing (Chairperson of the Conference), Prof. Dr. Nahed Kandil, Vice President of the College for Postgraduate Studies (Vice-President of the Conference Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Sayed Mohamed) Head of Women's Health and midwifery Nursing department (conference rapporteur), Assist prof. Eman Ahmed Fadel - conference secretary, and Dr. Enas Sabry - session organizer.
The training course began on Monday, October 9, 2023, and the trainers, Miss Maritsa Clark, a midwife in England, and Professor Ahmed Mostafa, an obstetrician at Worcester Hospital in the United States, trained the trainees on abdominal examination.

The course had a theoretical aspect that took place in the conference hall and a practical aspect carried out by the trainees in the women’s laboratory at the college.

It is worth noting that the course will continue for four days to be completed with the participants, including maternity booth nurses at Mansoura University Hospital and faculty members in the Women’s Health and midwifery nursing department at the college and various universities.
